The beauty and spirit of the monsoon season came alive through music and dance at ‘Ghonoghota-2’, an open-air dance festival held at Bakultala of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Dhaka University on Friday.
Organised jointly by Arthy Ahmed Dance Academy and the Faculty of Fine Arts, the festival featured performances by more than 300 amateur dancers aged between three and 70.
Beginning at 11:00am, the festival transformed the iconic Bakultala into a vibrant cultural space, where dancers celebrated the colours, rhythm and emotions of the rainy season through choreographed performances.
Dressed in colourful traditional attire, performers presented dance sequences inspired by the richness of Bengali culture and monsoon traditions under the open sky.
