Modern technology in education: Towards improved student outcomes

Introduction

In this 21st century, the teaching-learning process can be very comfortable if different modern technologies can be implemented in the education process.

Different new methods are now being applied and, in the classroom, a lot of new technological equipment is now being used which have replaced the old existing procedure of teaching and learning.

Teachers are also becoming updated so that they can manage those new techs and methods.

When various technologies are used for teaching it becomes easier for the students to understand the topic that was discussed by getting the visual and audio aids that they get from the modern technologies that were used in the classrooms.

This research is conducted for understanding the importance of using modern technologies in the education system and how they are beneficial for the students.

The research also focuses on the level of improvements students made by getting the help of modern technologies in the classroom.

The Impacts of technology on student outcomes
Different modern techs have been being used by teachers and authorities for a long time in different modern countries. These have made the whole world a small place.

Learning about different theories, new cultures, historical places, different cultural-historical movements has never been easier.

Everything could be brought under one roof today using all of these modern techs. Students often get disappointed when they are forced to take classes in old and shabby classrooms.

Benefits of technology for student outcomes
Modern technological equipment is providing the students and teachers with important tools for learning in the 21st century. These technological advancements are giving the students opportunities to connect with ideas, people and places of different countries crossing the boundary of our country.

Challenges associated with using technology for student outcomes
In many cases, teachers or instructors are not qualified enough to use all the available materials or technologies.

In Pascale Benoliel‘s words, it is seen most of the time that teachers who have been teaching for a long time are used to advancing in a certain way. They are too comfortable using their way of teaching and delivering lectures.

So, they are not interested in applying any new or modern techniques, let alone training themselves for updating their methods and skills. So, when they get the chance to apply new tech or methods, they are unable to because they simply don’t know.

Present Condition of the college
Modern technologies are used a lot in education sectors assuming that it helps to develop the students’ intelligence and improves the outcomes.

Even though many scholars disagree with this notion suggesting that the traditional way of teaching is sufficient enough and but the majority thinks otherwise.

Students of the college are very much enthusiastic about learning in new methods because according to the survey, 90% of the students said that they understand their lessons better when those are shown on the big screen using multimedia projectors. And almost 100% of the interviewed students agreed that it is more useful and enjoyable when teachers show them different videos and audio clips related to the lesson rather than giving traditional lectures only.

Proposed Changes
In this 21st century, the world is progressing at a great pace. Science and technology have helped a lot to increase the pace of this rapid progression.

Different new methods are now being applied and in the classroom a lot of new technological equipment are now being used which have replaced the old existing procedure of teaching and learning.

Teachers are also becoming updated so that they can manage those new techs and methods. Everything could be brought under one roof today using all of these modern techs.

Potential benefits of the change proposal for student outcomes
Modern technologies are used a lot in education sectors to develop the student’s intelligence. Even though many scholars disagree with this notion suggesting that the traditional way of teaching is sufficient enough and but the majority thinks otherwise.

The modern technologies are costlier and the maintenance cost is high too but they are very helpful for the students.

The teachers can easily teach the students and the students can learn very fast by using modern technologies. They are becoming prolific users of these techs, they are learning different new skills.

Potential challenges of using technology for student outcomes
Artificial Intellegence apps in education pe:
Nowadays some AI apps are being applied to solve the complicated facts of education.

These AI apps can solve the riddles of education. They make any absurd thought crystal clear by mentioning and referring to information, examples and comparisons.

In the near future AI apps will be made in such a subtle way that they will be able to realize the pulse and even the brain wave of the learners and teachers.

AI will change the present two dimensional explanation in teaching and learning methods. Someday I will opperate all education modern tools and technology to solve any complication of education.

Conclusion
The education process should be easier and more convenient for students so that they can enjoy learning.

Many colleges are already using various modern technologies for teaching their students and technology-based classrooms are getting used more and more.

The use of computers, projectors, sound systems, etc. have become very normal in any college classroom. In many cases, teachers are using Google AI apps at Chatgpt, Deepseck, Google Assistant, Gemenietc classroom for using better interface with their students.

Technology is being used in the education sector rapidly. But in the context of Bangladesh, the situation is little different because of the undertrained teachers, lack of funds, materials and due to the shortage of appropriate motivation. But the situation is surely changing.

And in this report the changed method of teaching and learning has been proposed, following which the present scenario could get better.
