



Iranian Ambassador Jalil Rahimi Jahanabadi on Tuesday met Nobel Laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus at the Yunus Centre in Dhaka and invited him to make an official visit to Iran.
During the meeting at Telecom Bhaban, the ambassador expressed appreciation for Professor Yunus’s leadership of the interim government and his role in guiding Bangladesh through a peaceful election process towards democratic transition.
Jahanabadi also conveyed his respect for Yunus’s efforts in supporting stability and democratic development in Bangladesh.
Professor Yunus expressed his condolences over the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader and conveyed solidarity with the Iranian people in their pursuit of the rights of a sovereign nation.
He said dialogue and diplomacy remain the only means to achieve lasting peace and stability in the Middle East.
Yunus stressed that regional peace is not only desirable but also essential for ensuring prosperity and development in the Middle East and beyond.
