Narayanganj Deputy Commissioner Md Raihan Kabir said the district administration is on high alert to ensure that the 2026 Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC), Alim and equivalent examinations are conducted in a fair, transparent, and malpractice-free environment in line with government directives.

Speaking to journalists after visiting several examination centres on Thursday, the opening day of the examinations, the Deputy Commissioner expressed optimism that the exams in Narayanganj would be completed successfully with the cooperation of students, parents, teachers, and all other stakeholders.

During his visits, he inspected the overall management of the examination centres, candidates’ attendance, the examination environment, security arrangements, and the performance of officials assigned to examination duties.

He also exchanged views with centre secretaries, invigilators, and other concerned officials, providing necessary instructions to ensure the smooth and orderly conduct of the examinations.

“The primary objective is to ensure that examinees can sit for their exams with confidence. No form of irregularity or malpractice will be tolerated,” the Deputy Commissioner said.

According to the district administration, members of law enforcement agencies have been deployed at every examination centre throughout the examination period to maintain security.

In addition, mobile monitoring teams, led by executive magistrates, are conducting regular inspections to prevent incidents of cheating, misconduct, or disorder.
