Sarika comes back with thriller series Headline

A major surprise has arrived for OTT audiences with the new web series ‘Headline’. Through this series, model and actress Sarika Subrin has made an impressive return to the OTT platform.

The series also marks the first-ever collaboration of three actors from three different generations-Ziaul Faruq Apurba, Chanchal Chowdhury, and Yash Rohan.

Directed by Saleh Sobhan Auneem, the mega-series premiered on the OTT platform Hoichoi on June 25 (Thursday).

Since its release, the chemistry among the three lead actors has become a hot topic of discussion on social media.

Headline presents a gripping thriller that explores contemporary society, the media, and the hidden dynamics of power. Chanchal delivers another powerful performance, while Apurba appears in a completely different look. Yash also adds a fresh dimension to the story.

Director Saleh Sobhan Auneem said, “Amid all the unrest around us, we wanted to offer the audience a story that provides a sense of relief.

Headline has been created with the essence of the stories we grew up watching. It is not just about journalism or investigation; it is also a family story hidden beneath the surface.”

Sarika plays the significant role of ‘Dolon’ in the series. She portrays the wife of a journalist who unintentionally becomes entangled in a major mystery. The actress is highly optimistic about the series.

Speaking about Headline, Sarika said, “I have been away from social media for many years. However, after the trailer was released, many colleagues and acquaintances called me with positive feedback.

With a talented director, outstanding co-stars like Chanchal and Apurba, and a major platform like Hoichoi, I believe the series will create quite a buzz among viewers.”

Reflecting on being selective about her work during her career of more than fifteen years, Sarika said she has become less regular in television dramas because she receives fewer offers with strong stories and meaningful characters.
