



The 2026 Rotary International Convention held in Taipei, Taiwan, from June 13 to June 17th, has underscored the growing scale of global civic engagement, drawing more than 37,000 Rotary members from over 140 countries. The gathering focused international attention on large-scale humanitarian networking and cross-border collaboration.
The primary programmes of the convention were hosted at the Farglory Dome (Taipei Dome) and the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center (TaiNEX), which served as the main venues for events and discussions throughout the five-day gathering.
Among the participants was Farah M Saddha, an Author, Entrepreneur, Journalist and Humanist. She holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from Texas A and M University and an M.B.A from the University of Dallas.
Her professional career began as an RF Engineer at Motorola in Dallas, TX, followed by her role as a System Engineer at Nokia Inc. She later worked as a business planner for the City of Fort Worth.
Farah M Saddha also leads the global business venture Baldha Group which operates across garments, agriculture, telecom, real estate, media and journalism, including the platform. She has additionally founded a non-profit organisation, ANDRA (Association for Nutritional Development and Rural Advancement).
Her organisations are signatories and global participants in the United Nations Global Compact and the Women Empowerment principles, supporting human rights, environmental rights, labour rights and anti-corruption principles of the United Nations framework.
In literature, her first book, Princess of The Tide, was published in the United States in 2006, followed by four additional works: Belong to the world, The Global Rose, let her fly and Journey of the spirit.
Beyond her professional and literary work, she has expressed interest in learning multiple languages, including Spanish, Chinese Hawaii and Arabic, as well as performing Middle Eastern and Hawaiian dances.
Her personal philosophy is expressed in her mantra: ‘The most valued possession is humanity and I want to serve the world being a friend, mother, sister and well-wisher.’
Her family background includes her mother, Nowroz Jahan, a journalist, and her father, Abdul Mazid, an ex-government officer.
