PSC gets Tk 138cr allocation

The government has proposed allocating Tk 138 crore to the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) in the national budget for the 2026-27 fiscal year, increasing funding for the constitutional body responsible for public sector recruitment. Finance Minister Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury announced the allocation while placing the national budget in the Jatiya Sangsad on Thursday.

The proposed allocation is Tk 41 crore higher than the amount earmarked in the revised budget for the 2025-26 fiscal year.

The funding has been allocated under the budgetary provisions for the Bangladesh Public Service Commission as part of the government’s expenditure plan for FY27.
