JaPa leader Lal joins NCP in Gangachara
Rangpur’s Gangachara Upazila Jatiya Party Joint Convener and former Vice Chairman of Upazila Parishad Saju Mia (Saju Ahmed) Lal Sajjad joined NCP.
Upazila NCP organized a joining ceremony at the Upazila Parishad Hallroom last Monday. Rangpur District NCP Convener Al Mamun was the chief guest.
NCP District Member Secretary (Acting) Abu Reza Md. Abdullah was the special guest. Joint Conveners Niaz Morshed, Mahfuz Shah, Joint Member Secretary Abdul Bari, Member Rafiul Alam, and former Upazila NCP Convener Rifat Chowdhury were the guests.
At that event, former Vice Chairman Saju Mia welcomed Lal Sajjad with a garland of flowers by NCP leaders. Upazila and union level NCP leaders and activists were present at the time. Widely known throughout the upazila as Lal Sajjad.
He has been in BNP politics for a long time. Later, he was elected as the Vice Chairman and joined the Jatiya Party with the help of the then Jatiya Party Secretary General Mashiur Rahman Ranga.
Now he has left the Jatiya Party and joined the NCP. Lal is serving as the president of the Gangachara Press Club, a red journalist. Despite his reputation as a journalist, he has repeatedly changed parties, which has caused a storm of discussion and criticism on social media.
