DU, TIKA explore expanded partnership in education and research

Efforts to strengthen international academic and development cooperation received fresh momentum on Sunday as a delegation from the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) held discussions with Dhaka University (DU) on expanding collaboration in education, research and capacity-building initiatives.

The delegation, led by TIKA Vice President Dr. Ali Ercan, paid a courtesy call on DU Treasurer Prof M Zahangir Alam Chowdhury at his office on the university campus. TIKA Bangladesh Coordinator Muhammed Ali Armangan was also present, among others.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed a range of issues aimed at enhancing cooperation between Dhaka University and TIKA in the fields of development, education and research.

The discussions covered opportunities for joint research programmes, capacity development initiatives, infrastructural support and other areas of shared interest.

Representatives of both institutions also exchanged views on potential avenues for future collaboration, underscoring their interest in strengthening partnerships that could contribute to academic advancement and development activities.
