Kulaura gets new OC

Sheikh Zahirul Islam Munna has joined Kulaura Police Station as its new Officer-in-Charge (OC). He officially took charge from outgoing OC Mohammad Moniruzzaman Mully on Wednesday.

OC Sheikh Zahirul Islam Munna is the eldest son of Haji Abdul Jabbar of Madanbari village in Madan upazila of Netrokona district. He joined the Bangladesh Police as a Sub-Inspector (SI) in 2007 and was promoted to the rank of Inspector before being appointed as an OC in November 2024.

Before joining Kulaura Police Station, he served as OC of Zakiganj Police Station. He later joined Srimangal Police Station on December 8, 2025, and has now been transferred to Kulaura Police Station.
In his personal life, he is the father of two daughters.

Meanwhile, outgoing OC Mohammad Moniruzzaman Mully has been transferred to the Crime Branch (CB) of Moulvibazar Police as a Police Inspector.
