Half Marathon ‘One Run’ held in Hatirjheel

The Half Marathon ‘One Run’ was held in Hatirjheel, Dhaka on Saturday.
Hundreds of running enthusiasts, both new and experienced, participated in four categories.
After the race, State Minister for Youth and Sports Aminul Haque and Prime Minister’s daughter Barrister Zaima Rahman handed over the prizes to the winners.
Both of them conveyed the message of development regarding the marathon.
Aminul Haque said, ‘Currently, we are working for the development of sports. And it is moving forward with the cooperation of everyone, including our Prime Minister.
‘First of all, thank you to everyone and I didn’t know that such a good organisation was organised here. I really liked this Half Marathon.
Apart from Dhaka, such Marathons are held in Bandarban, Cox’s Bazar, and Chittagong. I hope I will also join in the future,’ Barrister Zaima Rahman said.
Keeping the slogan ‘One Run, One Goal, One World’ in mind, the Russian Hero League organised a One Run Half Marathon in Hatirjheel, Dhaka.
The second edition included; Police Plaza, Rampura Bridge, Lake Road, FDC and other important places in the capital.
The start, finish and fan zone were arranged in the Hatirjheel Amphitheater area.
Not only Bangladeshis but also citizens of different countries including members of the Russian community living in Bangladesh participated in this one run.
This marathon was organised keeping in mind the idea of spending good time with family, relatives or friends.
