Priyontee Urbee still traumatised by that terrible childhood experience
Small screen actress Priyontee Urbee has revealed a horrific and traumatic experience from her childhood.
She recently posted an emotional status on social media expressing concern over the ongoing incidents of child abuse and violence in the country.
There, she clearly stated that she too was a victim of inappropriate touching when she was just 4 to 5 years old, which still leaves a deep scar on her mind.
Priyontee Urbee wrote in a Facebook post, “Some incidents people don’t forget, they just learn to live in silence.
I learned that too. So, I always keep myself busy, so that the voices inside my head can calm down a little.”
Urbee, in her post, expressed the mental pain of those childhood days and wrote, “Today, I can feel how much fear these events instill in the mind of a 4 to 5 years old child.”
She wrote, “At that time, I didn’t understand what was happening, I just felt like it wasn’t normal. My parents never treated me like this.
Today, I think about how much fear these things instill in the mind of a 4 to 5 year old child.
How many questions, how much discomfort, how many unspoken tears accumulate over the years.”
Recently, people from all walks of life in the country are protesting the brutal murder of an eight-year-old girl named Ramisa in Pallabi, the capital.
They are demanding justice. Many stars are protesting in this incident.
Priyontee Urbee has shared her experience regarding that incident.
She said that whenever news of child abuse or rape comes to light, she breaks down inside.
Urbee wrote in this regard, “I still believe that rapists and abusers should be severely punished because they kill not only a person, but also a child’s sense of security, faith and childhood.
Another thing I strongly believe is that the results of human actions come back to this world one day or another. Allah sees everything.”
In the last part of the status, the actress expressed her deep love for her father and wrote, “I miss my father a lot today. In the midst of shooting, work, and busyness, sometimes I feel like I’m lost somewhere, in a place where no one knows me. Maybe I could find some peace there.”
