PM to visit Mymensingh today

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is set to visit Mymensingh today to inaugurate the national-level programme marking the 127th birth anniversary of National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam in Trishal upazila.
During the visit, he will formally launch the three-day national celebration at Nazrul Mancha in Trishal, according to his Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Rumon.

The Prime Minister will also inaugurate the re-excavation work of the “Dharar Khal” in Bailor union, aimed at improving local water flow and supporting agricultural development.

A colourful three-day programme has been arranged featuring a Nazrul book fair, rural fair and cultural events celebrating the life and works of the National Poet.

As per the schedule, the Prime Minister will leave Dhaka at 9:00am by road and reach Trishal around midday for the canal re-excavation inauguration.

After a break for lunch and Zohr prayers, he will inaugurate the main national programme at 3:00pm at Nazrul Mancha.

Later at 5:00pm, he will attend an organisational meeting of Mymensingh North, South and city BNP units at Trishal Nazrul Auditorium.
