Defence Min warns of fake notice

The Ministry of Defence has issued a warning over a fraudulent group that is allegedly using its name to send fake legal notices and extort money from people across the country. In a statement issued through the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Directorate on Tuesday evening, the ministry said the fraudsters are circulating fabricated legal documents accusing individuals of criminal involvement.

The ministry clarified that no unit or office named “Law Control Department” or “Crime Unit Cell” exists under its jurisdiction, and it does not issue such legal notices or carry out such activities.

It further said that legal action has already been initiated against those involved in the scam.
The ministry has urged the public not to fall victim to the fraud and to avoid any financial transactions or communication with individuals issuing such fake notices.
