Khulna city, district JCD get new convening committees

The central committee of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal on Tuesday announced new convening committees for its Khulna City and district units.

The committees were approved through separate letters signed by central JCD President Md Rakibul Islam Rakib and General Secretary Nasir Uddin Nasir.

In the 43-member Khulna City Unit committee, Tajim Biswas was made convener, Arifur Rahman Arif senior joint convener, and Habibur Rahman Khan Biplob member secretary.

Meanwhile, Firoz Ahmed was named convener of the 30-member district committee, with Abu Zafar appointed senior joint convener and Khan Ismail Hossain made member secretary.

According to the announcement, all organizational activities will be conducted jointly under the signatures of the convener, senior joint convener and member secretary.

Meanwhile, the Government Brajalal College Reporters Unity expressed satisfaction as its president Rakibul Islam Sajid and general secretary Md Rifat Islam were included as members of the newly formed metropolitan committee.

In a congratulatory message, the organisation said the new leadership would play an important role in protecting students’ rights, promoting student welfare and strengthening organisational activities. It also wished success and a bright future for all newly appointed leaders.
