CID official, SP elected BPSA leaders
Additional Inspector General of Police (CID) Mosleh Uddin Ahmed and Superintendent of Police of Dhaka District Shamima Pervin have been elected unopposed as president and general secretary of the Bangladesh Police Service Association for a one-year term.
According to a police press release, the election was held on Wednesday afternoon at the Bangladesh Police Auditorium in Rajarbagh Police Lines, marking the fourth and final day of Police Week 2026.
The newly elected leaders will form a full executive committee within 15 days and submit it to Inspector General of Police Md Ali Hossain Fakir, the chief patron of the association, for approval.
Additional IGP (Administration) AKM Awlad Hossain served as the chief election commissioner during the process, which was attended by association members.
