Dr. Nasim Akhter Banoo passes away

Dr. Nasim Akhter Banoo (Keka), daughter of founding president of Magura district BNP Late Advocate Habibur Rahman, passed away on 12 May 2026 in a private hospital in Dhaka while undergoing treatment. She was 79.

She was first lady medical officer in Magura Sadar Hospital and also the first female student of science department of Magura H. S. S College. She served in Bangladesh and Libya in the capacity of health professional.

Later she was laid to rest in Magura Pouro Graveyard She left behind a son and a host of admirers. The family has requested prayers for the eternal peace of her departed soul.
