Committee Formed of 112-Year-Old Rupapat Baman Chandra High School Alumni Association
A founding committee of the ‘RBC School Alumni Association’, an organization of former students of the 112-year-old Rupapat Baman Chandra High School in Boalmari upazila of Faridpur, has been formed.
The new committee was formed for a two-year term at a general meeting of the association held at the Founders Club in Uttara, Dhaka, with Kazi Mafuzul Haque Bablu in the chair. Saifur Rahman was elected President and Mahmudul Islam Milton General Secretary.
The meeting discussed various issues, including maintaining discipline within the alumni association, forming a full-fledged committee, and organizing a reception for students who have passed the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination with outstanding results.
Mia Lutfor Rahman has been appointed Chief Adviser, while Prabhas Chandra Biswas, Nausher Ali, Kazi Mafuzul Haque Bablu, Shajahan Fakir, Nirul Mia, Debdulal Chakraborty, Touhidul Islam Lipon, Badrul Islam, Md. Selim Hossain Nilu, Abu Taleb Molla, Mia Nasir, Parvez Khasru Duplu and Emdadul Haque Milon have been appointed as advisers.
Kamal Saha, Kazi Hafiz, Hafizur Rahman Molla and Mostafizur Rahman have been given the responsibility of patrons.
Saifur Rahman will serve as President, while Sheikh Shajahan, Nazrul Islam, Mia Masud and Asaduzzaman will serve as Senior Vice-President and Vice-Presidents respectively.
Mahmudul Islam Milton has been appointed General Secretary, with Khandaker Nasiruddin and Khandaker Sazzad serving as Joint General Secretaries.
Mashiur Rahman has been appointed Organizing Secretary, Shahadat Hossain Joint Organizing Secretary, Shahidul Islam Mridha Finance Secretary, Bishnu Saha Joint Finance Secretary, and Mahmudul Islam Milton Office Secretary in an additional capacity.
Nahid Hasan has been appointed Publicity and Publication Secretary, Jahidul Islam Education and Career Development Secretary, Touhid Alam Mintu Social Welfare Secretary with the status of Vice-President, Romanuzzaman Roman Event and Reunion Secretary, Mahabubur Rahman Mia Information and IT Secretary, Robiul Sikdar Cultural and Sports Secretary, and Nilufa Yasmin Women’s Affairs Secretary.
The executive members of the committee are Faruk Hossain, Badiuzzaman Babu, Siddiq Fakir, Babul Ahmed, Sher Alam, Abul Kalam Piplul, Arman Khan Manzur, Miron Mridha, Golam Quddus Jitu, Moazzem Sikdar, Kamrul Fakir, Tayebur Rahman, Imran Molla and Manjurul Islam.
The newly formed alumni association is expected to work to strengthen relations among former students, preserve the heritage of the historic educational institution, and contribute to the welfare and development of its students and alumni.
