RAB recovers firearm in Rajshahi

Members of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) recovered a foreign pistol, three magazines, and 13 rounds of ammunition during a raid in the Naboganga Aibadh area under Kashiadanga Police Station in the city.

A team from RAB-5, Rajshahi’s CPC, conducted the operation around 11:45 pm on Saturday.

In a press release issued this afternoon, RAB said the raid was launched based on information that several individuals had gathered in the area to buy and sell narcotics, reports BSS.

Sensing RAB’s presence, the individuals fled the scene.

A subsequent search of the area led to the recovery of one foreign pistol, three magazines, and 13 rounds of live ammunition.

RAB said the seized weapon and ammunition have been handed over to Kashiadanga Police Station for legal action.
