The last song written by renowned lyricist late Gazi Mazharul Anwar during his lifetime is titled ‘Meghla Akash’.
The song has been composed and arranged by contemporary musician Apu Aman.
The track features vocals by Dithi Anwar and Apu Aman.
Dithi on Tuesday confirmed that the music video for the song has already been completed.
Dithi shared that the song holds deep personal emotion for her.
In this regard, she said, “My father saw the recording of this song while he was alive, which makes it even more special.”
She also said that her father had great affection for Apu Aman and had personally invited him to compose several songs.
‘Meghla Akash’ is one of those songs, she added. According to Dithi Anwar, Apu’s composition has taken the song to a unique height.
She expressed her belief that the song will resonate with listeners.
Apu Aman also spoke about the experience.
He said, “Getting the opportunity to compose a song written by a legend like Gazi Mazharul Anwar is one of the biggest achievements of my musical career.
Just two days before his passing, I had the rare chance to sit with him and work on the tune of this song.”
He also said that he tried his best to create a melody that matches the depth of the lyrics.
The song is expected to be released on Dithi’s new YouTube channel before the upcoming Eid.
In 2022, the year of his passing, Gazi Mazharul Anwar had planned to sing this song with his wife on their 50th wedding anniversary on September 24.
‘Meghla Akash’ now carries the memory of that unfulfilled dream.
