Dev to host ‘Dadagiri’ instead of Sourav

Zee Bangla’s popular reality show ‘Dadagiri’ started in 2009. Sourav Ganguly was the host from the beginning.

The exception was the third season. Mithun Chakraborty hosted instead of Sourav.

However, due to huge demand from the audience, Sourav was brought back from the next season.

After 10 successful seasons, Sourav has left the stage of ‘Dadagiri’.

This popular show came to an abrupt halt after the tenth season aired in 2024.

It is learnt that Sourav had a rift with the channel due to differences in remuneration.

Last year, he ended his long association with Zee Bangla and joined Star Jalsa. He will host the channel’s reality show ‘Bigg Boss Bangla’.

Zee Bangla is ready to start ‘Dadagiri’ again after a break of almost two years.

Since Sourav is gone, there will naturally be a change in the host. It is heard that Dev will be seen as the new host of ‘Dadagiri’.

Dev has immense popularity in both the acting and politics arenas, so the channel authorities want him as the new ‘Dada’.

Although neither Zee Bangla channel nor Dev has yet spoken out on the matter.

However, citing reliable sources, The Times of India reported that Dev has already been contacted to host ‘Dadagiri’.

Because the channel wanted someone who has wide popularity and who can easily mix with people.

Sourav Ganguly expressed his positive attitude after hearing about Dev hosting ‘Dadagiri’.

He told media, “I heard that Dev will host. He will do it in his own style. Everyone has their own style.

I wish Dev all the best. I hope Dev will do something new while hosting ‘Dadagiri.’”

This time too, ‘Dadagiri’ will be directed by Abhijit Sen.
