Actor, vocalist Biplab Dasgupta no more

West Bengal’s renowned actor and vocalist Biplab Dasgupta is no more. He passed away on Friday on his way to the hospital.

The artist was 75 years old at the time of his death. He is survived by his wife and a daughter.

Biplab had been suffering from various old-age related ailments for the past one and a half years.

When his physical condition deteriorated on Friday afternoon, efforts were made to rush him to the hospital. However, he died on the way.

He was associated with acting for more than two decades. He was equally popular on big screen as well as the small screen.

His performances in acclaimed films like ‘Feluda’, ‘Baishe Shrawan’ and ‘Gumnami’ have caught the attention of the audience.
