BB, Bank Asia host cashless campaign

Bangladesh Bank has organised a daylong seminar on the “Cashless Bangladesh” initiative in Narsingdi recently, with Bank Asia PLC serving as the lead bank.

The event, held at the Bangladesh Shishu Academy auditorium in Narsingdi, aimed to promote digital financial services among students, teachers, businesspeople, customers, bank officials, mobile financial service providers and the wider community.

The programme featured a rally, seminar, presentations, open discussions and awareness campaigns highlighting the benefits of Bangla QR and other digital payment platforms.

Bangladesh Bank Executive Director Arief Hossain Khan attended the event as the chief guest.

Narsingdi Superintendent of Police Md Abdullah-Al-Faruq and Bank Asia PLC Deputy Managing Director Mirza Azhar Ahmed attended as special guests.

ANM Moinul Kabir, director of Payment Systems Department-1 at Bangladesh Bank, presided over the session.

A detailed presentation on the “Cashless Bangladesh” initiative was delivered at the programme, followed by speeches from guests and an interactive open discussion.
