Prof Nazrul new BMU Pro-VC

Professor Dr Md Nazrul Islam has been appointed Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic) of Bangladesh Medical University (BMU) for a four-year term.

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare issued a notification in this regard on Tuesday, reports UNB.
It said the appointment was made with the approval of the President and Chancellor under Section 15(1) of the Bangladesh Medical University Act, 1998.

Dr Nazrul Islam is a professor in the Department of Radiology and Imaging and also serves as Registrar at BMU.

He will receive a salary and allowances equivalent to his current position and will be entitled to other benefits as per rules.

The President and Chancellor may cancel the appointment at any time if necessary, the notification added.

The order will take effect immediately.
