Make domestic workers’ reg: HC
The High Court has issued a rule seeking to know why registration of domestic workers throughout the country, including the capital, should not be made mandatory.
On Sunday, the High Court bench of Justice Razik Al Jalil and Justice Debashish Roy Chowdhury issued this rule.
The law secretary, labour secretary, and other concerned parties have been asked to respond to the rule within the next four weeks.
Advocate Khadijatul Kobra argued in court in favour of the writ petition.
Earlier, Advocate Khadijatul Kobra filed a writ petition in the High Court seeking directives to make registration of domestic workers mandatory throughout the country, including the capital.
