KGDCL officers’ assoc gets new body

The officials of the Karnaphuli Gas Distribution Company Limited elected the leadership of its association for the next two years.

In the election, Prof. Syed A.N.M. Saleh, General Manager (Planning and Development), was elected unopposed as President, through a free and fair election.

Voting for the 6th Executive Council election of the Karnaphuli Gas Distribution Company Limited (KGDCL) Officers Welfare Association was held at the company’s head office on Saturday, with the full participation of candidates and voters.

Prof. Mohammad Rafiq Khan, Deputy General Manager (Distribution North Department), and Md. Yakub Ali, Deputy General Manager (Audit Department), were elected as Vice-Presidents.

Prof. Mohammad Jahangir Alam, Manager (Zone-9), was elected as General Secretary.

The other elected office bearers are: Joint General Secretary Md. Mubinul Alam; Assistant General Secretary Tushar Madhu; Organizing Secretary Md. Asaduzzaman; Finance Secretary Md. Zakir Hossain Sunny; Office Secretary Prof. A.H.M. Tasbir Farid; Information and Publicity Secretary Prof. Md. Imran Ali; Sports and Cultural Secretary Md. Inzamul Haque; and Welfare Affairs Secretary Mizanur Rahman.

Seven members were elected as executive members: Prof. Md. Abir Hossain, Prof. Tariqul Islam, Prof. Mir Mohaimenul Haque, Md. Sharif Hossain, Md. Anwar Hossain, Itu Chakma, and Redwan Sardar.
The election was conducted through votes cast by the officials, ensuring a transparent and democratic process.
