Tarique Rahman’s sole aim is to serve people

Prime Minister’s Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Ruman has said that Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has taken responsibility for running the government with the single objective of serving the people.

“Prime Minister Tarique Rahman leads a very simple life and maintains humble behaviour. His only goal is to serve the country,” he said at a press conference held at the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) in the capital’s Tejgaon on Saturday afternoon.

The PMO organised the briefing to highlight the achievements of the BNP-led government over the past 60 days since assuming office.

Ruman said that despite challenges arising from the global situation, the government has been making continuous efforts to improve the welfare of the people since taking charge.

He also urged the media to fairly present the government’s initiatives and development activities.
“If there are any mistakes or shortcomings, you should inform us so that we can improve in the future,” he told journalists.

He further said that the administration remains committed to ensuring transparency, accountability, and effective service delivery across all sectors. According to him, priority is being given to improving public services and addressing citizens’ everyday needs in a more efficient manner.

Ruman added that ongoing government programs are being reviewed regularly to ensure that their benefits reach the intended people without delay or disruption. He stressed that cooperation between the government and the media is essential for building trust and ensuring accurate dissemination of information.

He expressed hope that with continued efforts and public support, the government would be able to overcome existing challenges and achieve its development goals in the coming days.
