Mild heatwave sweeps country

Mild heat wave is sweeping over different districts of the country, according to Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD).

“Mild heat wave is sweeping over the districts over Rajshahi, Pabna, Sirajgonj, Jashore, Chuadanga & Kushtia and it may continue,” said a Met office bulletin issued this on Wednesday morning, reports BSS.

Besides, BMD forecasted that rain would occur in different parts of the country in next 24 hours commencing 9 am on Wednesday.

“Rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind and lightning flashes is likely to occur at a few places over Sylhet division and at one or two places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Dhaka & Chattogram divisions,” the bulletin said.

Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country.
Day temperature may remain nearly unchanged and night temperature may rise slightly over the country.

The highest temperature on Tuesday was recorded at 37.6 degrees Celsius in Rajshahi and minimum temperature was 20 degrees Celsius in Sylhet on Wednesday.

The sun sets at 6.20 pm on Wednesday while rises at 5.37 am today in Dhaka.
