Clooney hits back at White House after Trump ally mocks his acting

George Clooney has responded sharply to criticism from the White House following remarks he made accusing Donald Trump of potentially committing war crimes in relation to threats against Iran.

In a statement shared with The Hollywood Reporter, Clooney criticised the tone of the administration’s response, arguing that global crises demand serious discourse rather than personal attacks.

“Families are losing their loved ones. Children have been incinerated.

The world’s economy is on a knife’s edge,” Clooney said. “This is a time for vigorous debate at the highest levels, not for infantile name-calling.”
