10 more die of measles

Ten additional people have died from suspected measles in the country over the past 24 hours, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said.

In its daily update, the DGHS reported 1,248 new suspected measles cases and 189 laboratory-confirmed patients during the same period.

Since March 15, a total of 11,133 suspected measles cases have been recorded, with 1,599 confirmed cases. So far, 21 deaths have been confirmed as measles-related, while 138 deaths are under investigation as suspected measles cases.

Dhaka Division has reported the highest number of suspected infections, with 4,667 cases, including 991 confirmed patients.

The DGHS continues to monitor the situation closely through its Integrated Control Center, ensuring patients receive necessary medical care and advising the public to remain vigilant.
