Child artiste Wriddhi injured in mugging incident

National Film Award-winning child artiste Mugdhota Morshed Wriddhi has been injured in a mugging incident in the capital’s Agargaon area.

Her father, Monjur Morshed Nayan, was also seriously injured in the attack.

The incident took place on Friday at 6:45pm, while they were returning from a theatre school.

They were travelling in a moving auto-rickshaw when a mugger tried to snatch a bag.

During the attempt, the vehicle lost control and overturned. Both Wriddhi and her father were injured in the accident.

They are currently receiving treatment at Dhaka Dental College.

Doctors said Wriddhi suffered injuries to her teeth, while her father has severe pain in his leg.
