LPG PRICES HIKED: 12 kg Cylinder now Tk 1,728

The price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) has been increased at the consumer level, with the cost of a 12 kg cylinder rising from Tk 1,341 to Tk 1,728, according to the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC).

As a result, consumers will have to pay an additional Tk 387 per cylinder in April.

The new price was announced by BERC Chairman Jalal Ahmed at the commission’s office on Thursday (April 2) at 3:00 pm and will come into effect from 6:00 pm the same day.

Under the revised pricing, the rates of LPG cylinders of different weights have also been adjusted. The price of a 5.5 kg cylinder has been set at Tk 792, 12.5 kg at Tk 1,801, 15 kg at Tk 2,161.
