Kaliganj’s AC (Land) gets promotion

Zakia Sarwar Lima, Assistant Commissioner (Land) of Kaliganj, has been promoted to Senior Assistant Secretary. Aminul Islam, Deputy Secretary of the Field Administration wing of the Ministry of Public Administration, disclosed this information through a gazette notification on Tuesday.

Zakia Sarwar Lima is an officer of the 38th BCS batch. Currently, she has been working as Assistant Commissioner (Land) in Kaliganj upazila of Gazipur.

After promotion, she has been elevated to the Senior Scale Senior Assistant Secretary rank. She joined Kaliganj as Assistant Commissioner (Land) on 17 August 2025.

According to sources, Zakia Sarwar Lima joined government service as Assistant Commissioner in 2021.
Later, she performed duties as Assistant Commissioner at the offices of Khulna and Bandarban district administrators. Then on 9 April 2024, she joined as Assistant Commissioner (Land) in Chauddagram of Cumilla and on 7 August last year was posted to the office of Dhaka Divisional Commissioner from Chauddagram.

The officer obtained Bachelor of Science (BSc) and Master of Science (MSc) degrees from the Electrical and Electronic Engineering department of Chittagong University. She hails from Banskhali upazila of Chittagong.
