Mobile court fines Sherpur petrol pump owner

A mobile court drive by the district administration has imposed a Tk 25,000 fine on a petrol pump owner for alleged violations of fuel storage rules.

During the drive, Nur Islam Haji, 60, proprietor of Haji Petrol Pump in Sherpur Sadar, was fined after authorities found inconsistencies in fuel storage practices.

The drive was led by Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) and Executive Magistrate, Md. Shakil Ahmed. It was conducted from Monday evening until late at night, covering Sherpur Sadar, Nakla and Nalitabari upazilas.

Deputy Commissioner, Md. Tarafdar Mahmudur Rahman said the district administration remains committed to ensuring a smooth supply of fuel oil and maintaining market stability.
