Country’s largest Eid Jamaat at Sholakia

The country’s largest Eid-ul-Fitr jamaat will be held at the historic Sholakia Eidgah ground on Eid day.
Dewan Hybat Khan, a sixth-generation descendant of Emperor Isha Khan, the ruler of Bengal, donated nearly seven acres of land around 250 years ago for this Eid congregation.

All necessary preparations have been completed for the Sholakia Eid jamaat.
Sholakia Eidgah Maidan Management Committee President and Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Kishoreganj, Md. Aslam Mollah, made the announcement on Tuesday after visiting the site and overseeing the ongoing work.

“All preparations, including foolproof security measures, are almost complete to hold the 199th Eid-ul-Fitr jamaat at the Sholakia Eidgah ground this year,” the DC said.

Member of Parliament Mazarul Islam, Superintendent of Police (SP) Dr. SM Farhad Hossain, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADM) Ershadul Ahamed, RAB-14 Company Commander Md. Noman were present on the occasion.
