Nat’l disaster preparedness prog held

Joypurhat hosted a drill and discussion session on fire and earthquake awareness, centred on the motto: “We will fight for national disaster preparedness; we will build a youth-led Bangladesh.”

The event took place on Monday at Collector Chattar Maath in Joypurhat town, organised by the district administration.

It featured demonstrations on fire outbreaks, earthquakes, extinguishing gas cylinder fires, and other disaster response measures to raise public awareness.

District Administrator Al Mamun Mia attended as the chief guest.

Also present were Upazila Nirbahi Officer of Sadar Upazila Ashikur Rahman, Deputy Director of Fire Service Shariful Islam, District Rover Scout Secretary Azizur Rahman, District Trauma and Disaster Officer Abdul Karim, officials from various government departments.
