Prof Prabhat appointed Acting Health DG

Professor Prabhat Chandra Biswas, a doctor in the Urology Department at Dhaka Medical College Hospital, has been appointed as the Acting Director General (DG) of the Health Directorate.

The appointment was announced on Tuesday through a notification issued by the Ministry of Health, signed by Joint Secretary Sanjida Sharmin.

The notification states that the BCS (Health) cadre officer has been transferred and posted to the position mentioned alongside his name. The order, issued in the public interest, takes immediate effect.

Copies of the notification have already been sent to the Cabinet Secretary, Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister, Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration, and all relevant offices of the Health Directorate for necessary action.

Professor Biswas is also a member of the executive committee of the Dhaka University Alumni Association (DUAA).
