46 flights cancelled at Ctg Airport

Air travel between Chattogram and several Middle Eastern destinations has been severely disrupted, with 46 flights cancelled at Shah Amanat International Airport over the past five days amid escalating tensions in the region.
By Wednesday afternoon alone, 11 flights — six departures and five arrivals — had been scrapped, airport spokesperson Ibrahim Khalil said.
“Flight operations to Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Doha remain suspended due to the ongoing war,” he told bdnews24.com, adding that the total number of cancellations in Chattogram had reached 46 within five days.
Among Wednesday’s outbound cancellations were two flights operated by Biman Bangladesh Airlines, one by US-Bangla Airlines and three by Air Arabia.
Despite the widespread disruption, limited services continued. Flights operated by SalamAir, Biman Bangladesh Airlines and US-Bangla Airlines to and from Muscat and Medina operated earlier in the day.
The crisis erupted on Saturday following strikes on Iran by Israel and the United States, prompting the closure of several Middle Eastern airspaces and triggering a ripple effect on regional aviation.
The impact has been felt nationwide, with 147 flights cancelled at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport over the previous four days.
