Jewel Aich turns down offers to star in 3 movies

Internationally renowned magician Jewel Aich starred in the 1980 classic film ‘Chhutir Ghonta’. After that, he was offered to star in three consecutive films. However, at that time, he wanted to stick to the art of magic.
So, he turned down the opportunity to act in front of the camera.
However, at one time, Jewel Aich dreamed of becoming a film director behind the scenes.
He also took a course on filmmaking from the Hollywood Film School in the United States.
After writing the screenplay, he also went to Oscar-winning director Satyajit Ray and legendary cinematographer Ritwik Ghatak.
He recently shared many such unknown stories in the podcast ‘Behind the Fame with RRK’.

Jewel Aich said in this podcast that in 1972, he received a ‘Poa Jilapi’ (250gm) as a prize for performing magic at the Jalabari Haat market. That was his first prize as a magician.
