Market monitoring intensified in Nilphamari

On the occasion of holy month of Ramadan, the Nilphamari District Administration conducted a market monitoring drive at the district’s “Boro Bazar” area on Thursday , at 11:00 am to keep prices of essential commodities under control and maintain a stable market situation.
During the drive, officials checked the price lists of various daily necessities, including rice, lentils, edible oil, sugar, chickpeas, dates, vegetables, and meat. Traders were instructed to display updated price lists in visible places at their shops. They were also warned against unreasonable price hikes, artificial shortages, and hoarding.
The District Commissioner and District Magistrate of Nilphamari, Mohammad Nayiruzzaman, personally supervised the monitoring activities. He stated that market surveillance would continue throughout Ramadan to ensure consumer comfort, and immediate action would be taken against any irregularities.
The district administration further informed that such drives would be carried out regularly in the public interest.
