BAUET celebrates 11th founding anniv

The Bangladesh Army University of Engineering and Technology (BAUET) celebrated its 11th Founding Anniversary with various programmes on Sunday.
The day’s events included hoisting of the national and university flags, releasing doves as a symbol of peace, a special prayer for the prosperty of the nation and country, cake cutting, a colourful rally, and a friendly football match.
At the beginning of the program, the national flag and the university flag were hoisted and saluted by the Honorable Vice-Chancellor Brigadier General S. M. Lutfor Rahman and Treasurer Colonel Md. Showkat Hossain, psc (Retd.) respectively, says a press release.
A vibrant rally, participated in by faculty members, officers, staff, and class representatives of students, started from BAUET Plaza, paraded through the main roads of the campus, and concluded at the same venue.
On the occasion of University Day, the BAUET Games, Sports and Gymnasium Club organized a friendly football match at the central playground, where teachers, officers, and students enthusiastically took part.
Among others present were the Controller of Examinations Colonel Hla Han Maung (Retd.), Dean of the Faculty of Science & Humanities and Law Professor Dr. Md. Sazzad Hossain, Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Professor Dr. Mohammad Nurul Islam, Dean of the Faculty of ECE Professor Mohammad Golam Sarwar Bhuyan, Acting Registrar Major Md. Monjinul Mubin (Retd.), department heads, the Proctor, Student Welfare Advisor, Deputy Registrar, faculty members, officers, staff, and students.
