Ahteshamul Haque Khan joins DBBL as MD & CEO

Dutch Bangla Bank PLC has appointed Md Ahteshamul Haque Khan as managing director and CEO, effective on Saturday.
Before taking up the role, Khan served as the bank’s deputy managing director and chief business officer (CBO) for about 6 years.
He also served as chief operating officer (COO). Earlier, he worked as manager of several strategically important branches of the bank, including the local office. Khan joined Dutch Bangla Bank in 2003. The bank said he has been involved in several initiatives related to business expansion and operational management.
With more than 30 years of experience in the banking sector, he began his career at Basic Bank in 1995 as an assistant manager (probationary). He completed a BSc (Hons) and MSc in economics from Jahangirnagar University and holds an EMBA from North South University.
The bank said he has participated in training programmes, seminars and workshops on banking and finance in Bangladesh and abroad.
