Staff Reporter :

Election campaign for Jamaat–NCP 11-party alliance candidate for Chattogram-8 constituency, Zobairul Arif (symbol: Shapla Kali), gets momentum.

The election march of the National Citizen Party (NCP) for the constituency began with a visit to the grave of martyred Ishmam, one of the heroes of the mass uprising of 2024.

NCP Election Management Committee Chairman Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan, along with central and local leaders, visited the grave of martyred Ishmam located in Darji Para of Amirabad Union under Lohagara Upazila in Chattogram at around 11:00 am on Monday.

Others present on the occasion included NCP Election Management Committee Secretary Monira Sharmin; Chief Convener of the Election Management Committee and Convener of Jubo Shakti, Advocate Tarikul Islam; Jamaat–NCP 11-party alliance candidate for Chattogram-8 constituency, Zobairul Arif (symbol: Shapla Kali); and NCP Central Election Management Committee Media Secretary Yasir Arafat, among others.

It is worth mentioning that due to prolonged traffic congestion, the leaders participating in the NCP march were delayed in reaching Chattogram. As people were waiting at the roadside gatherings, the party proceeded with the election march after visiting the grave of martyred Ishmam instead of visiting the grave of martyred Wasim.
