3 Bangladeshi films at Rotterdam Festival

Three Bangladeshi films – ‘Delupi’, ‘Roid’ and ‘Master’ – have made it to the 55th edition of the Rotterdam International Film Festival held in the Netherlands.
They will compete in three different categories of the festival, said a press release.
The festival will open next Thursday and will continue until February 8. Each film will be screened for four days at the festival.
‘Delupi’ producer Mohammad Tawkir Islam told the media that ‘Delupi’ has been selected in the ‘Bright Future’ section of the festival. ‘Delupi’ will be screened on January 31 and February 4, 6 and 7.
The political thriller film ‘Master’ will also compete in the ‘Big Screen Competition’ section of the festival.
The film’s director Rezwan Shahriar Sumit said that the film will be screened at the festival on February 1, 2, 4 and 7.
Meanwhile, director Mejbaur Rahman Sumon’s film ‘Roid’ will be screened in the ‘Tiger Competition’ section. The film will be screened on February 2, 3, 5 and 7.
The film’s producer Shimul Chandra Biswas said that a total of eight people, including director Mejbaur Rahman Sumon, actress Nazifa Tushi, the director and the crew, will participate in the festival. They will leave the country on Wednesday.
