Research methodology seminar held at BRU

A seminar titled ‘Research Methodology’ was held at Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur.
The seminar was held on Monday in the virtual classroom of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering in Academic Building-2 of the university. The chief guest at the seminar was the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Professor Dr. Md. Shawkat Ali.

In his speech as the chief guest, the Vice-Chancellor said that the basis of qualitative and standard research is proper research methodology.

Without a clear understanding of the research method, it is not possible to reach international standards in the research results. He also said that in the current world, there is no alternative to research in building higher education and a knowledge-based society. For this, students should become interested in research and acquire skills in ethics, data analysis and presentation.

The main article in the seminar was presented by Dr. Md. Ferdous Rahman, Associate Professor of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. He discussed in detail about research problem definition, literature review, research design, data collection and analysis methods, and research paper writing techniques. Students from different departments of the university participated in this seminar organized by the Scholarship Support Office of Begum Rokeya University.
