BADC training stresses integrity, professionalism in handling public duties

Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation (BADC) Chairman Md Azizul Islam has urged officials to perform their duties with sincerity, responsibility and integrity to contribute to the development of agriculture and farmers.

He made the call while inaugurating a two-day training programme on the Grievance Redress System (GRS) at the seminar room of the Krishi Bhaban on Monday.

The training began on September 21 and will continue until September 22, 2026. Officials from different levels of the organisation are participating in the programme.

Addressing the inaugural session as the chief guest, Azizul Islam said sincerity and a strong sense of responsibility were essential for properly carrying out duties related to agricultural and farmers’ development.

He said a professional attitude and honesty were among the most important qualities needed for an employee to perform effectively during their career.

Maintaining honesty and integrity, he said, could help employees improve their professional performance and become more efficient workers.

“Integrity cannot be sold in exchange for anything,” he said, adding that maintaining such values would also help reduce the number of complaints brought against employees.

The BADC chairman also called on officials to work with a sense of patriotism while carrying out their responsibilities in introducing the government’s modern agricultural system.

He stressed the importance of responsible and ethical conduct by officials in ensuring better performance and service delivery.
