‘Victory of 10-party bloc to ensure revival of sugar mills’
Staff Reporter :
Jatiya Gonotantrik Party (JAGPA) Vice President Rashed Pradhan on Friday said the victory of 10 party alliance will ensure revival of the country’s closed mill factories as well sugar mills including one in Panchagarh.
He said, the country is not safe in the hands of someone who signs off to Delhi even before arriving in Bangladesh.
Rashed Pradhan believes that Bangladesh is not safe in the hands of someone who signs agreements with Delhi even before coming to the country.
He said that the “new imam” repeatedly says—neither Delhi nor Pindi, Bangladesh first—but what ordinary people actually hear is—neither Delhi nor Pindi, London first. He added that anyone who gives a signature to Delhi before arriving in Bangladesh cannot be trusted with the country’s security.
He made these remarks on Friday while addressing an election campaign rally organised by the 10-party alliance at the Panchagarh District Sugar Mill ground.
Rashed Pradhan said, “Our 10-party alliance leader Dr Shafiqul Rahman will arrange free medical treatment, Insha’Allah, for children under six and senior citizens above sixty.” He also demanded the establishment of a medical college hospital in Panchagarh district under the 10-party alliance.
He said that if the 10-party alliance comes to power, the Panchagarh sugar mill will come back to life. Therefore, he urged the people to ensure victory by voting for Shapla Kali and Dari Palalla in the two Panchagarh constituencies. He added, “Although Dr Shafiqul Rahman’s hair and beard appear white, he is younger than many of us.”
The JAGPA spokesperson further said, “Our first religious duty is to ensure victory for the ‘Yes’ vote in the referendum. Our second religious duty is to ensure victory by voting for Shapla Kali and Dari Palalla. Shafiqul Rahman did not begin his campaign from the country’s affluent regions like other leaders; instead, he started from the underdeveloped northern region of our country.
The imam who came from London has announced giving some kind of card. We have seen the previous fascist who promised rice at 10 taka. Now a new London-based mufti has announced another card. The people of this country no longer believe in this card game. Bangladesh is not safe in the hands of those who sign off to Delhi before arriving in the country. Allama Saeedi (rahimahullah) used to say—‘Don’t jump around too much… you’ll end up at your uncle’s house in Delhi.’ And that has indeed been proven.”
