NSU gets scholarships from TU

Tianjin University (TU), China, has announced five fully funded scholarship opportunities for students of North South University (NSU), including four PhD scholarships and one Master’s scholarship, following a collaboration meeting held on Tuesday at NSU.
The scholarship package covers full tuition fees, accommodation, comprehensive medical insurance, and a monthly living allowance of CNY 3,500 for PhD students and CNY 2,500 for Master’s students.
These scholarships will be awarded for the full duration of the respective academic programs at Tianjin University, says a press release.
The announcement was made during a high-level meeting between NSU and a delegation from Tianjin University led by Prof. Sun Peizhe, Vice Dean, School of Environmental Science and Engineering.
The delegation also included Mr. Liu Wenwei, Vice Dean, School of International Education, and Mr. Chen Yu, Program Coordinator, School of International Education.
The meeting was chaired by Vice-Chancellor Professor Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, PhD, and attended by Pro Vice-Chancellor Dr. Nasar U. Ahmed, along with Deans, Directors, and senior academic and administrative officials of North South University.
Both institutions exchanged institutional overviews, while exploring avenues for potential collaboration in student and faculty exchange programs, joint research initiatives particularly in the environmental sector, and broader academic cooperation.
The NSU leadership welcomed the scholarship offer as a significant step toward enhancing international academic mobility and global exposure for NSU students.
