Moinuddin elected DCAB President, Kayes General Secretary

The Diplomatic Correspondents Association, Bangladesh (DCAB) has elected a new executive committee for 2026, with AKM Moinuddin of UNB elected  President and  Emrul Kayesh of Bangla Vision General Secretary.

The 11-member committee was announced on Wednesday following DCAB’s Annual General Meeting and election, held at Bishwa Sahitya Kendra in the capital.

Abeda Sultana Mukta of Desh Television was elected Vice-President. Several posts were filled unopposed, with  Morshed Hassib Hasan of Channel 24 elected Joint General Secretary, Nahid Hossain of Alap Dot News as office secretary, and Md Rubayet Hasan of Deepto Television as treasurer.

The other members of the executive committee are Khurram Zaman of Amader Notun Shomoy, Bashir Ahmed of Daily Amar Desh, Pantha Rahman of Channel i, Atikur Rahman of Daily Jobabdihi, and MAK Zilani of Shomoyer Alo.

Earlier, the annual general meeting was held with outgoing president AKM Moinuddin in the chair. During the meeting, General Secretary Arifuzzaman Mamun and Treasurer Morshed Hasib Hasan presented the organisation’s annual reports.
