Why Apurba not in ‘Chaalchitro 2’? Director Pratim replies

Pratim D Gupta’s film ‘Chaalchitro: The Frame Fatale’ was released in West Bengal, India in 2024.

Bangladeshi actor Ziaul Faruq Apurba surprised the audience in both West Bengal and Bangladesh by appearing in a special role in the crime-thriller film.

His fierce performance as a villain impressed the audience in both Bengals. The new installment of movie ‘Chaalchitro 2’ is coming after two years.

But Apurba is not in it. Instead, another famous actor of Bangladesh, Chanchal Chowdhury, has been cast in the movie.

Since the announcement, director Pratim has been repeatedly asked the same question, why is Apurba not there? Finally, he opened up.

Pratim said that the movie he is making now is not a sequel to ‘Chaalchitro’, but a prequel.

That is, the context before ‘Chaalchitro’. That is why he is unable to keep Apurba.
